Real estate photographers: offer video to your clients
Your clients want video, and you have no wish to buy a gimbal, learn editing or double your time on every property. Roomotion turns the photos you already deliver into an immersive video with real camera moves, in 16:9 and 9:16, in a few minutes. One more service, without changing how you work.
Where you stand today
Agencies and independent agents ask more and more often: “and video, do you do that?”. You have three possible answers, and none of them is good.
Say no, and watch the client look elsewhere, sometimes for someone who does photo and video together. Say yes and shoot, which means extra gear, an extra hour on site, and an evening of editing for a walkthrough the client will find “nice but a bit long”. Or offer an animated slideshow from Canva, which you feel slightly awkward invoicing next to your photos.
Meanwhile, your photos are exactly what a video needs. Controlled light, wide framing, tidy rooms. It is the best raw material there is.
What video changes for a photographer
One more service, same visit. You deliver the photos, you deliver the video. No shoot, no second visit, no editing software. The video comes from your photos, so it has your light and your framing.
A margin on every property. A video costs you a few tens of euros and a few minutes. What you charge for it is your call. Most agencies pay without arguing for a video that arrives with the photos, because the alternative is a separate videographer.
A result that matches your photos. This is not a slideshow. Each photo becomes a camera move with depth: the facade rises, the living room opens up, the terrace glides past. Your photos stay the subject; the video puts them in motion.
An answer to the “photo + video” competitors. You can say “yes, delivered the same day”, without changing anything in your workflow.
How it works in practice
- You shoot as usual. No extra photos, no clips to plan for the video.
- You pick 5 to 15 photos from the ones you deliver, in tour order, and upload them to Roomotion. A camera move is suggested for each room; you approve or adjust, with a photographer’s eye.
- You deliver the video with the photos, in 16:9 and 9:16, with your client’s details on it.
A few minutes per property, between exporting the photos and sending them off.
Example: a photographer shooting fifteen properties a month
A freelance photographer works for three agencies and around ten independent agents, fifteen properties a month on average.
He turned down video requests for a long time, then tried shooting on two or three properties: the gear paid for itself, but two hours of editing every time and an invoice clients found steep. With Roomotion, he offers video as an option on every shoot. A third of his clients take it every time. He delivers photos and video in the same send, the same day.
What he did not have to do: invest in video gear, block off evenings for editing, or lose clients who wanted both.
What Roomotion does not do
- A filmed walkthrough. No tracking shot through the rooms, no drone. Each clip lives within the frame of a photo. For properties that justify a real shoot, you already know what to offer.
- Fix your photos. The tool retouches nothing. What goes in comes out, in motion. With your photos, that is an advantage.
- Set your price. Roomotion sells you credits. What you charge your clients for the video, and how you present it, is your business.
Add video to your next shoot
Shoot your next property, upload ten photos to Roomotion, and see what it looks like. Then offer it to your client.
