Want your leboncoin listings to rank higher? Add a video

Create your videos

If you market property in France, leboncoin is one of the portals buyers check first. To rank higher on it, your listings need to be complete. Since October 2026, leboncoin immo sorts them by relevance: the Vitrine (showcase) block first, then the completeness score, then the plan you subscribe to. A well-filled Starter listing can rank above a Leader listing. Video is one of leboncoin’s recommendations for optimizing your listings, and you can create one in minutes from your photos.

A real estate agent, seen from behind in an office with stone walls, looks at a property listing on his monitor: the main photo of a stone farmhouse with a video play button, and a pool and a living room as thumbnails.

How leboncoin ranks your listings since October 2026

Until recently, real estate listings from professionals rotated through leboncoin’s search results. Since October 2026, they are ranked by relevance (“tri par pertinence”), and that’s the order buyers see by default. leboncoin explains this ranking in its overview of the relevance sort:

  1. The Vitrine. Listings in the Vitrine (showcase) fill a dedicated block at the top of the results. All other listings come after.
  2. The completeness score. Within each block, Vitrine or not, the most complete listings come first.
  3. The plan. When scores are equal, the level of the plan you subscribe to breaks the tie.

The Vitrine and the plan cost money. The completeness score is free and entirely in your hands. That’s often where your position against other agencies in the area is decided.

Completeness comes before your plan

Your plan only comes into play last, to separate two listings with the same score. leboncoin says so plainly: within the same block, a very complete Starter listing can appear above a less detailed Leader listing.

For an agency, the takeaway is simple. Upgrading your plan won’t make up for an incomplete listing, and a small agency that takes care of its listings can outrank a better-equipped network. Completing your listings is the most cost-effective lever in the new ranking.

The completeness score: video is the piece most often missing

The completeness score measures how much information a listing gives buyers. leboncoin mentions, among others:

  • The location, as precise as possible.
  • The photos and the description.
  • The property details: square footage, rooms, energy performance certificate (DPE), heating, outdoor space, parking.
  • The floor plan and the virtual tour.

That list isn’t exhaustive, and leboncoin goes further in its optimization tips: add a floor plan, a video or a virtual tour whenever you have one. Video is part of leboncoin’s recommendations for ranking your listings better.

Property details, photos and the description are part of every agency’s routine. Video isn’t: until now, it took a shoot, a vendor or time spent editing. So it’s the piece most often missing. In your pro account (“Compte Pro”), you can see each listing’s score and the information still to complete.

Your video shows behind the “Vidéo” button

On the listing page, leboncoin shows a “Vidéo” button, placed right on the main photo, opposite the one that opens the gallery. It opens a viewer with two tabs, “Photos” and “Vidéo.”

Its placement matters. The main photo is the first thing a buyer sees when opening the listing, and the button immediately offers a more engaging way to discover the property. Without a video, the button doesn’t appear: the buyer only gets the photos. Listings with a video are flagged in the search results too.

A listing that holds buyers’ attention

leboncoin reports that videos bring listings 12% more views, according to data published by leboncoin immo. Once buyers are on your listing, video helps keep them there.

  • They stay longer. A video gets watched to the end. A gallery gets swiped through in a few seconds.
  • They picture themselves there. The volumes, the flow from room to room, the light: video shows what photos only partly convey.
  • Showings are better qualified. A buyer who has seen the property in motion knows what they’re coming to see.

On a results page where every listing looks the same, the one with a video stands out.

A video ready on day one, no shoot required

A video added later arrives after the most active buyers have already seen the listing. To get the full benefit, it needs to be online from day one.

You can do that without a shoot. Roomotion creates the video from the listing photos you already have:

  1. Upload your photos and put them in walkthrough order.
  2. Choose your style: camera moves, music, intro and an end screen with your contact details. Or let the tool choose for you.
  3. Download the video in a few minutes, in landscape for leboncoin and vertical for social media.

Each photo becomes a real camera shot with depth, not a simple slideshow. To compare this method with manual editing, see our guide How to create a real estate video from your photos.

Measure the impact of the video

Your pro account shows each listing’s completeness score and what’s still missing. Note the score before adding the video, then check that it goes up once the listing is updated.

Keep an eye on the listing’s views and inquiries in the days that follow, too. A listing naturally loses views over time: if its numbers go back up after you add the video, that’s no coincidence.

Create the video for your next leboncoin listing

Roomotion turns your listing photos into a video with real camera moves, ready to publish on leboncoin in a few minutes. No subscription, one credit per video.
